Crawford County Land Reutilization Corporation minutes May 22, 2024

The meeting was called to order by Chairwoman Cindy Edwards at 3pm

Present were, Cindy Edwards Barb McCullough, Jennifer Kuns, Eric Baldinger, Tim Ley, Doug Weisenauer, Lyndon Hill.

Guests present were Sarah Herrle.

The minutes from the April 24th meeting was distributed for review, Jennifer Kuns moved with a second by Tim Ley to approve the minutes, motion passed.

The financial report,was discussed. Doug Weisenauer moved with a second by Eric Baldinger to approve the financial report,: motion passed.

The Bills to be paid were discussed, Tim Ley moved with a second by Doug Weisenauer to pay the bills, motion passed.

The Bank reconciliation report was distributed for review and signatures.

Old Business;

The Land Bank was granted an extension on our grant to do additional projects. The Land Bank will work with the Crawford Partnership spending down the Grant funds.

The Crawford Wyandot property was discussed and efforts are underway to move that property into the ownership of adjoining land owners. This land was given to the commissioners from ODOT after the

construction of US 30 four lane highway. The Commissioners are cooperating with the Land Bank to divide the property to the adjoining landowners.

The East Perry Street needs additional monitoring before it can be transferred to Bucyrus City. Until then the board is requesting the city to maintain the weeds and prevent squatters from moving back onto the property.

The East School property has been regraded and grass is growing. A for sale sign will be placed on the property in order to take offers. Interested buyers will be considered at our next meeting.

New Business;

Jennifer Kuns moved with a second by Doug Weisenauer to renew the service contracts with the County Auditor and Treasurer. Motion passed.

Remaining Grant funds will be focused on the Hiler Gas Station in New Washington. The Grant will pay to remove the tanks and pumps and the Land Bank funds will be used to remove the buildings, all this will depend on the EPA liens on the property.

Sarah Herrle announced the Crawford Partnership has secured a Brownfield Grant of $1.S million. No projects have been secured yet.
