February 26, 2020 Meeting Minutes

Chairwoman Cindy Edwards called the meeting to order at 3:01pm.
Present were Cindy Edwards, Barb McCullough, Jennifer Kuns, Tim Ley, Eric Baldinger, John Rostash, Jeff Reser, Landyn Hill, Doug Weisenauer
Guests present were; Mayor Ben Lash, Mayor Linda Horning Pitt, Tim Brown and Rick Ordeman from GT Environmental.
Visitors from GT Environmental discussed the Hyler gas station in New Washington. A presentation on the Abandoned Gas Station Cleanup Grant and how it could benefit New Washington was discussed. The property owner was consulted and is interested in the Land Bank facilitating with the project. Mayor Lash would discuss at the next village council meeting on March 9th possible future uses of the property. A recommendation could be determined at our next month meeting if the Land Bank will agree to administer the cleanup.
The minutes of the January 22nd meeting was distributed for review. Jennifer Kuns moved with a second by Jeff Reser to approve the minutes, motion passed.
The Financial report was presented for review. Doug Weisenauer moved with a second by Jeff Reser to approve the financial report, motion passed.
The bills to be paid were presented. Jeff Reser moved with a second by Doug Weisenauer to pay the bills, motion passed.
The budget was reviewed.

The Bank Reconciliation report was distributed for signatures.

Applications were discussed for the 303 Galen St properties. The City of Bucyrus may be interested but council will need to discuss it further. Jennifer Kuns moved with a second by Tim Ley for the Land Bank to retain the property and deny the applicants who have submitted applications, motion passed.
A contract for the Property at 1940 New Washington Rd was signed. The buyer is currently cleaning up the property. The house will be removed within 6  months.
The Audit contract for the County auditor was reviewed. Doug Weisenauer moved with a second by Jeff Reser to accept the agreement, motion passed.
Audit and Gaap reports were discussed for Julian & Grube.

The Ohio Land Bank Association dues are requested. Jeff Reser moved with a second by Doug Weisenauer to pay the annual dues of $250 plus an additional $250 contribution for assistance received this past year. The next association meeting will be in Perry County on March 24th.
Doug Weisenauer oved with a second by Jennifer Kuns to adjourn, motion passed at 4:05pm.
